| Jeff has to read our crap. The least we can do is let him write whatever he wants. |
Silence you? No one cares if you speak. What we are calling out is your tendency to debate using a childlike manner, rather than behave as an intelligent adult. |
Oh now you went and did it. He's going to pull your posts, and in a few hours you'll be crying about how unfair that is. |

I almost never read posts in this forum but something made me click on this. I'm virulently anti-Obama and virulently anti-legalized pot.
Neither of those things is what upsets me in this article. Maybe it's part of my old-fashioned conservative views, but I'm most bothered by the news reports that we've now stooped to calling our President "Barack". Maybe it hearkens to the threads about whether people allow their three year olds to refer to adults by their first names without a Mr. or Ms. Modifier. But, something makes me sad that we've reached a stage where respect is not a valued trait at all. Like him or not, we've elected him. well, not me, but you get my point. He's the President of the United States, and although we're struggling we are arguably still the strongest nation on the world stage. He's got a pretty powerful job, and to kid ourselves that he's just like you and me is ridiculous. Makes me sad on a broader societal scale. That's it. Carry on with bashing Jeff, Obama, Congress and anyone else you can think of. |

| 21:11, I am virulently pro-Obama and meh/slightly leaning toward legalizing pot, and that was what bugged me the most about this story, too. |
It is still illegal at the federal level. |
States rights. |
states rights only matters to conservatives if they can use it to put minorities in chains. |
|
it doesn't bother me - He breathes the same air as me, if you cut him he bleeds - he isn't superman.
I wouldn't say 'barack' but i would call him 'mr. obama'. |
| Yawn, I stopped reading after the first couple sentences. |
Would you call him Mr. President? |
Only if I worked for him - if he hooked me up with a plum book job, then yes I will "Mr. President" him all day. Otherwise, it is just Mr. Obama. Not just obama, it is for all ex presidents, senators, reps, etc. Now if he smoked pot with me, I would call him baz or o'beezy. |
Huh? Ex presidents and senators still get called by their title after they leave office. |
they do but i'm just saying how i would call them. |
