what tv shows do you allow your 3 year old boy to watch?

Love the BACKYARDIGANS!! totally harmless... lovely 'cartoon' kids with rich imaginations, playing together and being nice to each other. Cute songs. We have several DVDs and I have found nothing objectionable... unlike after my 3 year old watched Dora, and then went around the house and school for weeks saying Oh Man! everytime she was asked to do something.... so we are avoiding Dora for now.

Although at some point, I will let her watch again and other things I find objectionable ...since I have realised that an important life lesson for her will be to learn NOT to copy what she sees on TV. I need to help her be a discerning TV viewer....

I am the PP that first posted about the Extreme Trains. Thanks to the other posters warning about the commercials. Will watch out for that.

And while we are talking about commercials, I HATE that Comcrap's On-Demand advertises the most violent movies while I'm trying to order my kid a nice Sprout episode. Totally inappropriate material for small children. And it plays for a good long time while you are cueing up your selection.

Backyardigans rocks -- very creative show and great songs that my 3 yo son loves. He also watches:
Wonderpets
Dora
Diego
Franklin
Little Bear (a favorite)
Berenstein Bears
Dragon Tales
Blues Clues
My Friends Tigger and Pooh

A new one just started the other day on PBS Sprout called Mama Mirabelle's home movies. It's just adorable and has great live animal footage with easy to understand narration. He's hooked. Sigh...
