GEICO sucks. Any recommendations for auto insurance who don't?

Does anyone have homeowners and umbrella, as well as auto, with Amica?

Geico is the Kia of insurance

You want Allstate or even better, Chubb or Travelers

We have USAA, through my wife. Before we were married, I had Geico.

Geico was charging me 40% more than what USAA offered when we bundled home, personal property, and auto insurance. It blew my mind how much cheaper USAA offered. Geico tried to retain me, but when I told them how much USAA offered me they straight up said "Yeah, no way I can match that. Good luck with your new insurance provider."

They didn't even try to price match and USAA provided higher levels of coverage.

Geico stuck by us during some rough teen-driver years. Yes, they raised rates, but I couldn't get any one else to insure us at all.

Yes. They are great across the board. It's the ownership structure. You will never go back.

Same here.

Same here as well. I will say that my DH and I have had two accidents that were not our faults with people who had State Farm, and State Farm was lovely to deal with.

I like Progressive too. Stuck with Geico because umbrella insurance requires auto and home as well.

Progressive only offers auto?

We have Erie. I don’t trust state farm. Had Amica but they jacked up our rates after a couple years (with no claims) so we left and then they offered us a low rate again

Had Geico for nearly 30 years, then a teen driver and rates went way up after she hit a parked car. Before that, I was happy enough with them with very few claims

Moved to Progressive, which was cheaper with teen. No claims so far (two years), so I don't really know.

USAA will always be the most cost effective. No one can/waill touch their rates.

I was recently hit by a Geico person. That insurance is so ambad that they had my car for 2 weeks for a minor fender bender. I asked the lady at the body shop who deals with insurance conpankes all day long who is the best and she said northwestern mutual.

Interesting. I've been a USAA member for over 20 years. After a recent move, they jacked up my car insurance so high that I started looking around. Geico offered me the same policy at a cost savings of $450/year. Needless to say, I moved my auto insurance to Geico. USAA still has my homeowners, but they lost me completely on auto.
