Wife Assaulted Me

Your wife is nuts. Good thing you are seeing a lawyer. Keep some cash at a friend's house or something. Scan your important documents in case she decides to shred them. Also like the suggestion about keeping a pair of glasses elsewhere.

He's obviously not that blind since he could run around outside. How do you allege unlawful imprisonment if he wasn't imprisoned?

Continuity is the least of your problems.

How bad is your uncorrected vision? I can't even see the alarm clock a foot from my head if I don't have glasses on, but I could find a car outside. This sounds completely plausible to me.

Yes, me too. I have 20/500 vision w/o my glasses. I could grab a purse out of a car, but I sure as hell couldn't drive anywhere.

The others being what? Sorry, but people going nuts with zero provocation is not that likely, so I think we are getting OPs sanitized version.

You clearly have never been in an abusive relationship. Good. I am genuinely happy for you. However, those of us not so fortunate realize that for an abuser, anything is provocation: waking up 2 minute early, waking up 2 minutes late, preparing a favorite meal, forgetting a favorite meal, putting a bra in the dryer, not putting a bra in the dryer.

I've been there. Nothing is EVER good enough. It is constant walking on eggshells.

No, I have been in one which was constant verbal abuse. It takes a lot to resist kicking someone in the nuts when that happens.

So OP still won't say why all of this happened?

Doesn't matter. He asked for help on getting out of the relationship. All anyone needs to know. The details are for the police, DA, and a judge.

Totally agree!

Aren't you a piece of work. He's a guy so he must have done something to provoke the attack. Maybe he's not thinking 100% clearly so yeah.. there must be something more to it.

Why does it matter what he did do provoke DW's violent outburst and assault? PPs, I would love to hear what you thnk would justify an assault by one partner on another. You want to know what wold justify it? Nothing! Even if OP cheated on DW, that would not justify he's she did. I hope he called the police.
