Shady Grove is really Shitty Grove

It is really time to move on with your lives and refocus on what matters... getting pregnant.

If you don't like SGFC use a different clinic. Nobody is making you use them. For every person posting a bad review of this place there are others that have had positive experiences. You are not accomplishing anything but showing your pettiness and capacity for hate... SGFC will exist long after you emotionally recover from your time as an infertility patient

....probably the comment from somebody who works at shitty grove

to the PP I am not an employee of SGFC. Just a patient who is happy with them. Not everyone has to agree with the idea that this clinic is not good.

Venting on this forum is completely OK. It's one of the reasons people come--to a place where they can be honest about the very real pain of infertility, and in this case, how a callous institution not only compounds it with insensitivity, but prolongs it by making mistakes in the medical treatment.

If you don't like it, and find it unhealthy, why are YOU opening a thread that states "Shady Grove is really Shitty Grove", reading it, and commenting on it?

Clearly you're happy and fine, leave those who need to vent about subpar service that is medically harmful and really had the potential to hurt you, to our venting.

It's YOU who needs to stop. Stick to the threads that don't offend you. Seriously, who needs therapy more, someone who deliberately goes to a thread that's clearly for venting and tells people to stop, or the person who is letting out their trauma here, and perhaps in the process helping others decide whether or not other clinics may be worth considering?

PP it's probably just Shitty Grove's PR/marketing people trying to balance the negativity on this board.

Agreed. I mean, clearly their marketing machine never stops so no surprise they're here trying to defend themselves.

(((Sigh)))

Wouldn't it be nice to find a fertility clinic, outside the few top ones, that prioritizes patient care? I find it hard to believe that it's a struggle to be profitable, so why not invest in actually treating people trying to have a baby with compassion and care like patients, instead of chasing after them like used car salesmen?

I had the best experience at SG Fair Oaks. I'm sorry so many of you haven't had good experiences, but that is why other clinics exist. Grass isn't always greener, but I hope you find what you are looking for.

Has it occurred to you that many people have positive experiences at SGFC? I have them to thank for my three kids. I didn't always have a *perfect* experience, but this is infertitlity treatments we're talking about, not a spa or country club.

Occasionally there were bumps in the road, occasionally my nurse didn't have the information I needed, occasionally I found the process overwhelming. But when I asked for help, I always got it. Everyone I came into contact with over the course of the five IVF cycles I had with SGFC was polite and seemed invested in my care (maybe they were faking it, but hey, I felt taken care of). And my doctor was fantastic and very responsive. I didn't expect to be treated like an infant or coddled every step of the way. This is a medical process we're talking about and you have to own it.

If you don't like SGFC, try another clinic. Fortunately, there are several options in the DC area. No need to let your anger overtake your ability to move on and get past whatever circumstances at SGFC aren't to your liking.

That's fine. Then this isn't the thread for you. You can make a thread about how much you like Shady Grove, and no one is going to tell you that you shouldn't be doing it, that it's not healthy, that it was not the clinic but your body that made the baby, that you're giving people false hope by posting your success. . . or maybe they will.

You could try it.

I got preggers by Shady Grove and had a horrible experience.

I find everywhere you go in DC folks are rude; driving; wait staff; taxi drivers; etc. Shady Grove was no different.

It seems like people here tolerate bad behavior and it seems normal.

Ditto. I had a great experience with SG. Doctors and nurses were great. I got pregnant on the first try. My child is now 5.

New poster here. I disagree. I know at least one positive post NOT written by SG marketing people, and that is mine.
