You could rent the smallest house you can afford, invite way too many people, even people that are not related, then stick a family of five into the smallest bedroom.

Oh, you mean you are reasonable? Hmmm......Offer to chip in 1/4 (friend or relative should never accept money from people they have invited, presumably the entire family would always be invited, not just a portion, of course).

Rent a bigger house. Most people I know would never cram as many people as possible into a house they can barely afford. If money is such an issue, EVERYONE should rent their own place (not just the part of the family you want to screw) near each other for the same weeks.

But that many people in a 3 BR? Holy crap, no.
