need a pep talk from other SAHMs

Many nannies do not put up w/ a lot of the crap that moms do. I am a nanny and I am amazed at what my employer takes from the kids. If you allow it, I can see how spending all day every day w/ them would be difficult. That ends when mom gets in the car and leaves. Respect, boundaries and limits prevail w/ my charges. I am also a mom so it isn't like I don't know what it is REALLY like having kids 24/7.

Nanny 8:37, you make a very good point. Someone recently commented on how polite my 2.5 y.o. son is. I said that if I'm going to be spending M-F with someone, they darn well better attempt to say please, thank you and I'd like another story in a friendly voice.

Mrs. Simpson wouldn't wave one gently crooked pinkie in our direction, but we've managed to achieve a basic (and mutual) level of civility that makes the rough spots a little easier.
