Also, I LOVE The Sandlot. The only thing I can think of is that they say "sh*t" once or twice and they openly ogle a girl who one of them kisses--camera shows her rear end, her shape, etc etc. Marginally sexualized.

I wouldn't want my 8 year old watching this movie, sorry. There are so many to choose from without any bad language...

oh live a little.

An 8 year old seeing other kids give the middle finger, a coach drunk, kids saying to stick a trophy up your a**, coach throwing a beer can at a kid, curse words, racial slurs, 11 yr old smoking + coach giving beer to 11 year olds. Um,thanks, I'd rather not live a little if that's how you define it.

A true classic. if you think 8 year olds don't know about a lot of that or give each other the finger you are living in a hole.

This is funny, because of all the movies listed (that i recognize, which is only about half) the original bad news bears is the only one which I thought might be okay. The others are too violent. I don't mind about the stuff above, but do mind about violence. Even the original star wars is really violent. (But my son is a 10 year old who would find almost all of these movies too scary, so maybe my vote doesn't count! But I think scary or violent is worse than a little drunkenness or cursing.) Also in despicable me 2 there is that absolutely horrible sexist scene in which a sexy woman is drugged and then dragged around, and tied to the roof of a car etc etc, before being dumped roughly on a doorstep.

This is stuff in a MOVIE not what you'd condone in real life. Inappropriate behavior is what makes it so funny. Nobody is saying you serve beer and cigarettes to 8 year olds, nobody wants their kid to be Kelly Leak but don't raise them to be Timmy Lupus either.
