I drink only lime-flavored seltzer water (59 cents a bottle at Giant). If I need some caffeine, I drink a mini-can of Coke (90 calories), once a day at most.

NP here. I only drink water at work -- I fill a pint cup several times a day; once I get home I drink wine. Every few days in the morning I will make cappuccino and take with me on my commute.

Nope. I have a black coffee every day, and wine on the weekends.

You can have my coffee when you pry my cup from my cold stiff dead fingers.

when i was a teen and into my mid 20's, i'd only drink water and gallons of it.. meant my skin was always amazing and my daughter has picked up the habit and always asks for water rather than juice. we give her juice if she is out and about and lots of children are having some, but generally, and at home she never has it. once you get into it you won't need juice or fizzy sodas.

it is always good to allow yourself to drink alcohol or juice one a week. i'd do every saturday, a cup of coffee and a few alcoholic drinks. meant i was always really healthy and felt amazing!

now i mostly drink water and herbal tea as well as alcohol a few times a week - i never get too drunk or out of control and only drink a few types of alcohol so that way, really enjoy it for what it is.

My husband once drank only water for a year. It was some kind of personal challenge, no coffee, no alcohol, no soda. He really drank only water.

I drink mostly water, but I wouldn't be able to survive without coffee. Black coffee in the morning is about the only thing that gets me moving.

Also, wine or beer in the evening.

+1 but that wine might be a beer depending on my mood.

did he lose weight? I would if I didn't drink alcohol for a whole year (perish the thought).

Coffee and wine in moderation are good for you.

I drink water all day and wine, vodka, or bourbon in the evening. I don't think of the water drinking as any kind of discipline thing. It just seems like the normal thing to drink.

OK, after three pages, we can conclude that nobody ONLY DRINKS WATER. Everyone is mentioning all these other things. "I drink water but also..."

So, water is good but damn all that other stuff is just too addictive or too tasty to completely abstain. We are human.

You should try it. Giving up alcohol for a year can change your life for the better.
