Why does FCPS SACC have such a long waiting list?

(i have no connection to the school, but my coworker's kids went there and she speaks highly of it.)

I paid about the same for a before and after school care provider who picked my kids up from the bus, as I do for SACC. Full fee family.

It would be very profitable for the county and parents would definitely pay for it.

The list is so long right now that no kindergartners are even in SACC.

No more classroom space.

Sacc mom PP here, this is what I've been told. In schools where kids are in trailers, it's a fight to get classroom space.

A major issue with after school services is that many don't pick up from school. I did notice a lot of McLean after school programs pick up directly but not Vienna.

Not necessarily. Back 5 years ago when there was half day kinder, I was 10th in line to sign up at 7AM, was #3 for after K SACC and 138 for afterschool SACC at my non center school.

This was at Navy Elem, which since has started a center and now will be even more crowded.
