| None of the neighborhood in the redevelopment have good schools or high incomes, this is a major road block. |
Not sure why you'd say this, although I can guess. Mosaic District is in Falls Church HS district, which is comparable to Lee HS in Springfield, and it seems to be doing very well. |
I thought it was Marshall HS for Mosaic. |
| west Springfield and lake Braddock are both close by districts. Great schools. |
Nope. Mosaic is Fairhill/Jackson/Falls Church. Head up to Dunn Loring Metro on the other side of Route 29 and then you're in Marshall HS territory. |
| Schools are often what you make of them. A smart kid will do well most anywhere. They may even stand a better chance of getting into a good university if they aren't from one of the "top" high schools. The old adage about being a big fish in a small pond is true. |
Not really, but this really isn't the thread to debate that point. |
PP The Columbia Pike streetcar will be in Arlington County, not in Fairfax County, the location Skyline. Fairfax County may elect to extend the streetcar, but it would more likely be to serve the Army building on Seminary Rd and 395, not Skyline. |
South County is also nearby, and is a fine school district. |
I am sure it is fine, but it is not as highly ranked. |
| When is the Springfield Town Center scheduled to open? |
Who gives a shit, particularly for purposes of this thread? The point was that there are plenty of people there who might patronize and benefit from a revitalized central Springfield. |
