Has anyone found much cheaper services? What about PureTalk and others? Has anyone tried them?

Thanks!!

Yep. DH called ATT on Sunday - got our bill lowered from $250 to $180 a month.

we have 4 iPhones, unlimited texting and 10gigs.

how did he manage to negotiate with AT&T?!

I'd like to do the same, but just signed up for a new contract just a few months ago. Not good for leveraging a better deal.

Not the PP but AT&T is offering reduced prices across the board when you get a family plan. If AT&T doesn't want to give you the new price threaten to leave. There's a price war going on now.

Agree. I also recently reduced our bill by about $40 a month with ATT. They are actively competing with TMobile. Verizon might be too. We have 3 iphones and 10gb of shared data, unlimited talk and text and it comes to about $165 after taxes.

this is the first PP with the DH that called ATT. It was easy. he called and said "...Id like to see what you can do to reduce the price of our current plan..." he didn't have to say anything about T Mobile or their competition etc. The whole call took about 5 mins.

How is the coverage? I am also thinking about Consumer Cellular.

We've been with Republic for 6 months. So far, no complaints.

We've also been with Republic for about 6 months and have no complaints. Moto x is great and they are alos getting the Moto g if you need a cheaper option. Can't beat $25 a month.

My husband and I switched to the T-Mobile plan with unlimited talk, text, and 500 mg of data - which is plenty for me - with unlimited slower speed data after that. So there's no opportunity surprise overage fees at the end of the month.

It's $105 with all fees and taxes. I need to follow up with me re a possible fed discount though and see if that saves us any on top of it. It's cheaper than the lesser plan we had with AT&T.

I use Page Plus Wireless, which uses the Verizon network. I took my Verizon phone and activated it with Page Plus. $55/month unlimited everything. No contract.
Note, I use an iPhone 5, which the Page Plus customer service rep may say can't be activated on Page Plus but in fact it can. Either call back and hope you get a different customer service rep, or google it and use one of the on-line activation services.
Very happy with my service.

I have a TMobile prepaid plan with a Moto G I paid $150 for. $30, no tax for 100 minutes, unlimited web and unlimited text. Don't talk much on the phone so this works for me.
