Ok you convinced me and I tried signing but it didn't work. Does it not work on iPhone?

I just signed my name and it worked, then my DH tried to sing and it did not. hopefully it is a temporary glitch, we will try tomorrow morning

On an iPhone, click then scroll all the way up and it should work. This is volunteer effort so things may not be as perfect and high tech as we would all like.

If it won't let two people sign, refresh the page and retry. Then it should hopefully work.

Thanks for your support!

Signed. (A Hearst parent who know how time consuming and frustrating it is to have to fight for what needs to be done.)

What are the other two?

Shaw MS at Garnet-Patterson closed, leaving Murch and Orr at the bottom of the list. Orr is listed as having the worst conditions, especially due to its 1970s open floor plan, although it did get a nice new library (FWIW). Its 2014 funding was reprogrammed (Mayor's letter says due to complications with open floor plan renovations - http://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/documents/local/mayor-vincent-c-grays-capital-funds-reprogramming-request/825/). Per that letter they are working on designs and do have funding to start in 2015. Nonetheless, we've seen funding changes before, so please support Orr too: https://www.facebook.com/renovateorrelementary.

It seems clear that the worst and the most overcrowded schools need to be taken care of ASAP.

We're almost at 600 signatures! That's great, but we can do better. Please consider signing the petition. Murch needs your help!

This weekend is the last big push for gathering signatures, as the petition will be sent to the Mayor's office early next week. Keep those signatures coming!!!! Thanks to all for your support!

I too signed the petition.

Eaton parent

ps...maybe Eaton is "lucky" that we don't even have enough outside space for trailers, otherwise that would probably be happening to us too.
