Is my DC taking on too many extra curriculum classes?

It isn't really true. You can't know much about what other kids do. You only know about a) your good friend's kids and then not everything and b) the good things that happen to those who brag.

She will get into a perfectly fine school. Most people don't attend elite private schools and do fine.
