Okay, I'm coming to your house on Sunday.
|
mussels and fries--we're celebrating a birthday (the game might be on in the background )
|
| No pizza??? |
People will LOVE that, seriously. Not even approaching lame to serve pizza at a Superbowl party. |
| No one wants to come over to our house for Super Bowl bc of kids and bedtime. How are all you parents having parties and next day is school??! |
| bump |
My 14 year old will stay up for the whole thing. I'll probably put my 8 year old to bed at halftime. |
| Chili, wings, pizza, various chips and dips, vegs and hummus, cheese and crackers. BEER! |
It will be over by 10. How old are your kids? |
The problem with pizza is that it's too filling. The fun of Super Bowl is snacking throughout. I think this is why chips are so popular during the game. Allows you to keep eating for entire duration. The only way I would have pizza is if I cut it into very small slices so you can snack on that as well without committing to a full slice. |
| Anybody have a good chili recipe? |
|
I'm making a Velveeta & Sage Sausage sauce in the crock pot to serve over chips.
I'm also baking crispy yellow squash "fries" and kale chips. Veggie tray. Cheese, cracker, pepperoni tray. This will be our dinner - we'll snack as we watch the game. |
| We have a 1 yr old and only my inlaws are coming over. Making yogurt and Aleppo pepper marinated chicken kebabs and a Greek salad, and buying some hummus, tabbouleh and pitas. Wine and beer. Made banana pudding for dessert per DH's request. |

Lots of dips for veggies and chips --
Buffalo chicken dip Velveeta&Rotel queso Ranch dip Also on the menu -- Mini sliders Sausage&cheese stuffed jalapeƱos Turkey rollups Haven't decided on a dessert, though we probably don't need one. |
