Taking charity from family?

| We have a family reunion every year. My parents subsidize costs for some of my siblings who otherwise couldn't afford to come. I am so grateful my siblings don't mind accepting the help bc my kids LOVE seeing their cousins and we otherwise would not be able to. FWIW - we are tge "wealthiest" of all the siblings and I could care less about who pays what. I'm just glad we can all be together once a year. |

| Around here it seems very common for adults (those with families, kids, etc) to vacation on their parents' dime. All of my friends do this -- go away on great vacations with their extended families with their parents paying for it. Not how it works for me, but I promise you I wouldn't be worrying one second about it if it ever came to pass! |

| OP, I'm sorry for your tough financial situation. Have you considered downsizing until you can increase your income or decrease your debts? |
