brazilian straightening, safe?

For those of you who tried this, do any of you have very thick, very dry, curly/wavy hair? The product sounds great, but is only worth it for me if I really don't have to do much with my hair styling-wise afterwards. I don't have 30 minutes in the morning to straighten out my hair so if it's not pretty close to stick straight right out of the shower, then it's not for me. Thoughts?

And I hope that no one on this board is going to take you seriously if you get our hair done in some place in Annandale, VA - wherever that is.

Was that necessary? Are you actually flaming this person because she lives in the suburbs? Seriously?

I'm not the source of the flame, but I see Annandale

Exactly.

I use SunPure Straight after using other brands. I like the results and the ingredients are the most botanical and natural. I'm in Great Falls, Va at Tangerine Dream.

I had mine done at Tangerine Dream in Great Falls, Va. The price was fair compared to other salons and the results were amazing. I'm glad I did it and I'll definitely go back!

How is this process different than getting a relaxer?

Here is a GREAT breakdown of the difference between traditional relaxers, Japanese straightening and Brazilian straightening:

Has anyone had the keratin/sun pure on African-American hair? Where did you get it done? Should you get a relaxer or no? I have been growing my hair out for about 6 months and am considering giving this treatment a try.

Thanks!
