This. And who gets personal mail these days? |
Totally. I'm glad someone's doing it. |
| I generally open all mail, doesn't matter what it is. Husband could not care less. |
|
I open most of the mail. If I didn't, it would go in a pile. Then, when we were cleaning up he would shove the pile in a bag, or a drawer, etc.
He still has a huge plastic bin full of unopened mail from two moves ago, before we were married, that he needs to go through and shred. I want to just shred the whole thing, but he wants to go through it. |
| I open it. He doesn't care. |
Yep! This and neither of us have anything to hide from each other. |
| If it doesn't have my kids' or my name on it it doesn't get opened by me. Same with DH. |
This is what I do as well. |
| I open anything that looks like junk or bills - regardless of the name on it. I deal with all of that and DH would just let the crap pile up. I even opened DH's jury summons the other day b/c I knew he wouldn't deal with it if I didn't make him. If it's personal (like a birthday card) I leave it for him to open. It's not that we have anything to hide, but it's fun to open your own personal stuff. I would be disappointed if DH opened cards addressed to me. |
| I open all of it, unless it looks personal - not much of that these days. Oddly I think I'd object if he opened mine, but that's not a problem b/c he doesn't pay attention to any mail unless I put it right under his nose. |

Mail yourself a fake letter indicating that you've contracted a rare virus and you have 2 weeks to live -
May as well try and get something out of hubby's snoopy behavior. |
