Pittman Davis if. You get the timing right shipping isn't extra. Still expensive for fruit, but the grapefruit and oranges are fresh.
Otherwise, so Peapod. |
Only crazy to you if you can't afford it. LOSER! |
| Washingtons Green Grocer. |

I know there is a company like this http://souppeddler.com/ around here but I can't remember what it is called. The Soup Peddler is an Austin company that delivers awesome meals.
Anyone know what I am talking about? |

PP here, I found it!
http://www.thesoupergirl.com/ I haven't used them personally, but you may want to check it out. |
you sound like a peach. |
| My vote would be for grocery delivery. I find those baskets overpriced and not that good (I also prefer to eat organic). Too bad Good Eggs is not in DC yet... |
|
Have you looked into Omaha Steaks - they have other food as well - some precooked, some needs to be cooked. It can be overpriced, but sometimes they have crazy sales. But tey have basic meat, things like pasta, and then desserts (I get the impression you are looking for something "special".)
But if you are looking for basic groceries, I'd order from the grocery store (use your time now to try it out, get a good list going so once the baby is here its super easy). And as I think a few people pointed out, there are tons of delivery services around here. Green Grocer. White Mountain Creamery (I may be totally botching the name), so you could get a steady supply of food coming your way. |
| Costco and Zingerman's |
| This is a really bad use of money. What's wrong with peapod, washingtons green grocer, or Relay? |
| Wolfermans, Harry & David, igourmet.com, how about honeybaked ham co? And Pittman fruit is sooo good. Have fun OP! |
| William Sonoma |
I really wish I hadn't looked that up because now I really want it here! |
What's wrong with different priorities? |
