No. She just thinks she does.

I have seen a 70+ women with perfect legs rock the 6" heels with mini. I kid you not. I still remember this years later. Everyone in the mall was saying how striking she was. She was so cute, walking arm in arm with her husband (or boyfriend, or whatever, they were cute!).

I remember being in London ages ago and watching Vanessa Redgrave walk by in a purple miniskirt and knee-high boots. She was about 50 at the time and looked spectacular. Of course, it helps if you have a lot of presence..and mile-long legs.

It does! The look on the faces that do NOT were an attraction itself!

cut offs

I don't think I've seen a pair in years, PP!

I wear shapeless baggy clothing to cover up my folds of fat, sagging flesh, veins, overall dreadful look of my aging body. I've given up everything else. I don't swim, so forget about bathing suits. I wear knee-length shorts and polo shirts in the summer, and stay inside as much as possible. I really don't want to look at old people's bodies -- they look terrible. If I were slim, I'd wear tights to cover the veins, and nice shoes with skirts and long sleeves. I've never seen a 50-plus woman who is not a super athlete carry off sleeveless ever. So if you are a super athlete -- bravo! Show off your fit arms and legs, but wear tights if you have veins!

I've never worn heels, so that's no loss. But I do cringe when I see a woman dressing to look young. I shop at Talbot's now that I'm in my 50s, whereas I would not have looked in the window of that store 10 years ago! But it's unattractive to totter on heels and wear miniskirts with bleached hair when you are clearly well over 50!

I'm just worried I may soon have to start wearing again something I gave up long ago: bibs!

OP, I will wear above knee skirts with pants like those from lululemon underneath. The purpose of the skirt is to hide the tight leggings up around my hips. So it is like pants and a skirt.

Short tennis skirts. If you are over 50, or even over 30, they are nasty. You have cellulite and the glaring sun provides just the right light to show it off. And while your at it, learn to pick up a ball without sticking your ass in the air.
They sell longer skirts.

Here are the ones I like:

Thanks. I've been looking for something like this. I wear longish shorts when I play tennis, so as not to offend. I don't have a flat waist like the model though, so perhaps this look won't work for me. My flabby waistline will offend.
