Sometimes Daddy, usually another nickname I made up in elementary school. Usually call my mom Mommy or a variant. Dad/Mom when talking about them with other people.

I'm 44 and have always called my father Daddy -I don't think I've ever called him Dad, not once. I call my mother Mom or Mommy. FWIW, my dad was always the more involved parent and to this day I adore the heck out of him. I had a rougher time with my mom, but as an adult, we've settled out and it's all good.

Sure you don't call him "sir"?

I know I called him Dad for a little while but after referring to DH as "Daddy" when talking to the kids I started calling my own dad Daddy. I've always been close to my dad so it doesn't seem so strange.

Dad since I was about 9.

I can't remember EVER calling my dad "Daddy". I'm sure I probably did when I was a little kid. In writing he always refers to himself as "Pops"-- I think it started as a joke but then just continued. So whenever I write him an email or send a card, it's addressed to "Pops" even though I've never called him that.
