Wayyyy too much saturated fat in their rice. Ill risk the incomplete protein on the rare occasion i eat chipotle. |
OP here!
I went with the Chipotle, but I only got a small (1/3-1/2 of a regular helping) amount of brown rice, and no sour cream. Somehow, for some reason, it didn't agree with my stomach today. So uh, my fullness lasted for maybe an hour before the whole thing left my system. So I guess this question was kind of not needed, since not much of the nutrition or calories was probably absorbed in that 60 minutes (max)! ![]() |
Hardly. Do you know how many crap ingredients are in their breads? |
Are you all mentally lacking? Chipotle for sure healthier, beans are a superfood, and Mexican food is some of the best stuff on earth. |
You just revived a thread from 2013, so perhaps you're the one who is mentally lacking. |
Get the corn and tomato salsas at Chipotle. |
Subway bread is full of chemicals. I won't eat Subway after reading the list of ingredients. And the deli meat has nitrates.
Chipotle is surprisingly fresh and uses much more natural foods. I feel pretty good eating there. |
Chipotle! |
what about the meatballs? |

I just put the chipotle meal through the nutrition calculator, and it has 1,005 mg of sodium. This is why I try not to eat chipotle. At Subway, a 6 inch veggie delight sandwich only has 280 mg of sodium.
http://www.chipotle.com/en-us/menu/nutrition_calculator/nutrition_calculator.aspx The Institute of Medicine recommends 1500 mg of sodium per day as the Adequate Intake level for most Americans and advises everyone to limit sodium intake to less than 2300 mg per day, the Tolerable Upper Limit. Current dietary guidelines for Americans recommend that adults in general should consume no more than 2,300 mg of sodium per day. At the same time, consume potassium-rich foods, such as fruits and vegetables. However, if you are in the following population groups, you should consume no more than 1,500 mg of sodium per day and meet the potassium recommendation (4,700 mg/day) with food. |
subway, ew. seems super processed. and wheat is unnecessary. go for chipotle. |
I get salads when I go to Subway. Chicken breast and whatever fresh veggies I want - usually most of them - sometimes low fat cheese. And I have them drizzle just a little bit of salad dressing on top.
The salads are big and quite filling. Fresh veggies, lean protein...I would say much better than would I could get at Chipotle. |
I would hands down take the real ingredients from Chipotle over the heavily processed Subway any day of the week! All their meats are turkey based, often with food dye's to give it the added color. You'd think they could at least use real meats, but no... Chipotle on the other hand uses a lot of local ingredients, some organic products, and cooks everything in house fresh. |
