OP again, I went a few times, but couldn't deal with the disappointment of not seeing him (nobody else caught my eye) I felt silly and thought that if it were to be then I would meet him again.

what are you looking for - a quick hookup, try plentyoffish (pof.com) or craigslist. the paid sites I'm not so sure about - seems like a lot of work and is it really worth the effort and cost?. a good free site is okcupid.
