How often do you wash your hair?

I wash it every day except sat or sun and only blow dry once ot twice a week. My highlights also fade faster but i cant stand the sweaty hair thing after daily work outs. Yuck

On the third day. My hair is super thick and quite glossy. I wear it pulled up quite often.

I work out/sweat daily so it gets washed daily.

My kids get daily showers/bath too.

Dirty hair has a distinctive, nasty smell. I could smell this woman's unwashed hair in the store today and wanted to throw up.

Half the people you know, if not more, don't shampoo daily. Guaranteed. If someone is that rank, it isn't from a lack of shampoo.

I think it depends on your hair type. Everyone and their mother harped on me for years for the daily hair wash. I tried the every other day thing for a while (with a dry shampoo refresher) and it worked for me.

I agree. Your oil glands will adjust I think. I also have similar hair (not blonde though!) and I was worried about the greasiness. After few weeks it adjusted nicely.

I went to the salon this weekend, and my colorist said I really should be washing it every other day at most, to keep my highlights looking their best. The past few days I've tried the every other day thing, and my hair is so gross! Oily, limp -- yuk. Does it just need to adjust to less washing? I use a sulfate-free shampoo recommended by my colorist, if that matters.

How often do others wash their hair? I understand a few times a week for those with dry or thicker hair, but what about those of us challenged in the volume department?

apply talcum powder or dry shampoo to your roots!
