Oh, but you guys do care desperately about public schools! Every time somebody says something bad about a private school, for example about bullying or mean girls, you guys always follow up with a pious "but it's just as bad in public schools".

Do you think this forum is some little haven, where you can post any made up BS about public schools and nobody will correct you? And why are you so threatened by the presence of public school parents? You sound really insecure about your $35K/year investment. You would be funny if you weren't so pathetic.

Oh, and many of us, like me, had kids in private school at some point.

Because (a) we have other chldren in private; and (b) when I scan the list of "recent topics" to see if there is anything worth opening, I am reading the question, not the forum title, nor even the date, which means sometimes I try to offer up helpful ideas on something and only later find out the thread is 3 years old but recently reactivated by someone.

Thank you 10:24 for the shared van concept. We've been letting the kids pool money for the limo. They are, after all, off to college in a few months. If they can't coordinate pooling money for a limo, there's no hope. But seriously, we've been telling this group that they had better be going because most of the limos in the area will already be leased for other graduations or June weddings. Shrug, we parents may end driving them. But they will have learned a good lesson.
