Craziest Thing Someone Has Said to You...

From my children's great-aunt: "You fed them a sandwich, yogurt, and fruit? That's not real food!"

AND...

"Those box juices are ok for a snack, but I bought them some real juice."
The "box juices" are Apple and Eve Fruitables...her "real juice", Hawaiian Punch.

Right after I turned 40, my nurse at Shady Grove called me to tell me that my FSH was really high (and if you know anything about IF, you know that AMA with high FSH is basically the death knell for most women's chances of ever conceiving without donor egg). When I started to cry, she said, "at least now you know why you weren't getting pregnant!"

This made me LOL: you win!

My cousin said that she would have been happy with one child. For the record she has two beautiful girls. My husband and I are going through IVF and have decided that we will be one and done. I don't know what her thinking was when she said it-but it seemed a little heartless.

My friend really needs to know! she said was her reason for asking. I thought, I really do not know you well enough to share details.

When I got pregnant recently an acquaintance asked me the same question and gave the reason for asking except that her friend had already had a DE baby. Made no sense whatsoever.

Really? Sounds to me like she was just saying she understood your choice and saw it as one that would have made sense for her too. Better than berating you for wanting an only child, right?

Actually she said this before she knew that we were set on having only one child.

You looked through our financial records. You had to. There was only one other person in our home and they would never do it. WTF
