I am a Mark Kelly "apologist."

There is a difference between children and prey. Animals that cross that line are put down with no complaint from me. My understanding of leash laws on Laguna Beach are dogs don't need to be leashed in certain areas during the Fall/Winter/Spring months. I have no clue and really don't know why I am chiming in except OP was pretty darn quick to flame this hero who certainly would do the right thing in any circumstance if the past is any indication of the future.

Dogs with teeth and natural instincts? I grew up with a German Shepherd and I am 100% sure that he would have done exactly the same thing if he saw a small mammal that he could catch.

No, that law was not broken. They did not purposefully kill the animal or incite or encourage their dog to. How low can you go, slandering someone because of something their DOG did?

You don't really know how laws work, do you? No one said they incited the dog, that doesn't mean one is not responsible for his dog. Look up the definition of slander, while you're at it.

If the dog broke free and didn't come when called then it needs some more training. Same thing goes for the dogs of the PP who says his/her dog chases small animals while being walked. Leash manners!

The dog IS NOT his, and the sea lion was SICK. It would have died anyway.

It's the cycle of life. Would you have preferred it lay on the beach in pain baking in the sun?
