Are you effing kidding me? All these apologists make me sick. I greatly admire Kelly and her husband, but they don't get passes just because of who they are!
Seals are protected species under the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Dogs hunt and kill - that's their instincts? What kind of murdering dogs are you mo fos raising?!? A dog should obey its owner, period! If it can't do that, have a leash and a muzzle on it in public the whole freaking time! Does anyone know if they issued a statement? |

The dog broke free and attacked a baby sea lion that had beached itself. 700 baby sea lions have beached themselves this year because they are starving so chances are this one was dying anyway. It sucks but these things happen. |

Dogs with teeth and natural instincts? I grew up with a German Shepherd and I am 100% sure that he would have done exactly the same thing if he saw a small mammal that he could catch. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-22993...acking-sea-lion.html No one did anything wrong here. The dog WAS on a leash and it broke free. No laws were broken. |

Have you ever even walked a dog? They CONSTANTLY go after cats, squirrels, and rabbits. Constantly. They do not go after children. You are frickin' nuts. |

Of course I have walked dogs. One of my dogs weighed over 95 pounds and was not fat. I could take her anywhere on leash and push a double stroller. Some dogs are intelligent enough to discern behavior. Otherwise they could not be trained for jobs. But I guess the bulldog breed Kelly owns is not used by the military , police, or as a service dog. Also could not function as a herding breed or guarding a flock. |

Wow, OP. Your facts are lacking. "A dog belonging to a relative of former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords attacked and killed an apparently sick sea lion Saturday at Goff Beach, just below the Montage resort." The dog IS NOT his, and the sea lion was SICK. It would have died anyway. It's the cycle of life. Would you have preferred it lay on the beach in pain baking in the sun? |
