I think you are incorrect with your statement. If you belong to a church that doesn't acknowledge Jesus' message for Christians to live their lives in a way that glorifies God by doing for others, showing kindness and mercy, and generously helping those in need, I can assure you there are many of them that do make it their focus.

Liberals don't have contact with those kinds of places since they are stingy givers.

Spot on.

Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

America turns away from this message every single day.

That was a personal message to that individual that claimed to follow the commandments (which nobody but Christ has ever done) Christ was illustrating to the man that he was breaking a commandment and that he needed a savior since the man went sadly away afraid to give up his safety and trust god . To the homosexual Christ would have said give up your sodomy and follow me!

I can't imagine it goes over well in Heaven when you try to spin Jesus for your political purposes.

Funny how all the messages from Christ to eschew material things are "personal messages" that can be safely ignored by his more materialistic followers. You are right that the only person who followed the Christian religion is Christ. It's tough to follow the religion. That's why no one actually does.

There is nothing wrong with being wealthy as long as you live God first and don't let wealth stand between you and God. God lives to bless his children who love him. Also , you get no credit for paying taxes. " give to Caesar that which is Caesars and give to god everything that is Gods ". In other words pay taxes and don't call a sodomy based relationship marriage.

Not according to Jesus.

Everybody has their favorite sin. For some, it's sodomy and lavish decorating while others starve. That parable was told as an illustration that anybody who claims to follow the Ten Commandments is breaking a commandment by lying. The parable was showing the man his need for Jesus .

Christianity is not a religion, it is a gift. Other faiths say do this, do that. Christianity says "done". True gratitude for the gift naturally leads to a purer life.

So if you are "truly" saved, everything will naturally work out. So if you believe you are saved, then you don't have to really try hard.

This has to be the single biggest cop-out of Christianity. The whole notion defies every single thing written in the bible. Predestination is and always was heresy.

^^^^ you don't like the light that has come into the world. You are in the majority. The road to heaven is narrow.

It's interesting and enlightening. Google is the world , the world turns away from the light reflexively. It's so predictable. We are all going to die and the world will fade away . It all becomes clearer to many on their deathbed when there is less mind clutter,

I know that Jesus said that it is harder for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get to heaven. How's that for narrow?

And stop this sanctimonius I love Jesus and you don't nonsense. Please.

Glad you know the minds of so many people on their deathbeds. I'm sure hundreds of people have spoken to you in their last hours.
