I am so so sorry that this happened to you.

I don't wish to alarm you, but there are "entertainment clubs" in Southeast Asia where women apparently fire out dice into crowds from their "mulieris pudenda".

I hope and pray that this has not happened with your dice. But when I think about a reputable company like Hasbro - a name we trust for our childrens' gaming needs - being potentially associated with the depraved practices of the seediest Patpong nightspots I feel very uneasy.

Thanks for the good laugh this cold Monday morning

Do not get ping pong balls from Southeast Asia, ewwwwww!

Well, I bought a bag of Goldfish at Target this weekend. Not only was ONE of them browner than the others, not orange at all, but one was not fish shaped.

I want everyone to know. I mean, they may have overcooked more than that one fish and that is DISGUSTING.

So what?? They were recycling, saving the planet one die at a time.

You can't have it both ways. Its either recycle and reuse or scortched earth.

I for one am glad that OP was public-spirited enough to call this to our attention.

For all those of you out there all smug, thinking "It couldn't happen to me", just remember: It is dirty dice today. Tomorrow it could be filthy hotels in Monopoly, or a fetid ammo strip on G.I. Joe.

Thanks for pulling me back to reality. OP is this week's hero!

No, it wasn't. I think it's gross that there is a dirty die in my brand new Trouble game. No, I'm not falling apart over it, I did not mention anything about being worried about what my friends think about it, nor am I taking the time to call Hasbro. I think it's gross. Ew.

OP you are hysterical - in both senses of the word. I have had a good laugh today - thanks.

OP-why the heck do you think they call it TROUBLE?

You're right, I've become emotionally undone by this all, hysterical even. I have taken the advice of PP's and started the rebuilding process but it's hard. Every time I think about those dice, I fall apart again and start feeling that there's nothing in the world more important. NO, WAIT -- actually, now that I think about it, that's not how it happend. I didn't fall apart at all -- I just thought, "Ew, gross." And then the next time I went on DCUM I thought, "I think I'll share this with other moms who would probably also would be grossed out if they opened a brand new kids toy from Hasbro and found something used and dirty instead of new." Then I took another sip of coffee and went about my day.

I know most of the other people on DCUM share my opinion. It's gross to find something used and dirty in a new, boxed, name brand toy. Ew.

Actually they don't. Have you read through the thread? It appears to be just you. And the time you've spent posting, responding, and responding again and again is far more than you would have spent placing a call to Hasbro. You know, the place that could actually do something about your shocking dirty dice.

I doubt it. I'm sure it's one or two people who are jumping from foot to foot over my post. I'm at work, trying to keep myself amused, not sure why you care so much....

I agree. How many more women have to suffer as you have suffered before someone finds the moral fibre to make that call?

Given that the dice dye was made in China it is probably poor quality and most likely smeared before completely drying - given the appearance of looking dirty/used.

This seems like a weird posting. Who opens the wrapper of a new game and checks on the pieces (I would think the game had all the pieces if it was sealed and purchased new) before gifting?
