I don't think it makes a difference in the center itself - there the teachers, curriculum and peers matter more. However, it does make a difference on the playground and in the cafeteria and at arrival and dismissal time. Principals can set expectations for appropriate behavior and if they do a good job reinforcing these expectations, your child will experience a healthy social environment which is very important.
