Class of 2013? I'm really just wondering what range of schools the kids are getting accepted to in recent years. I've heard mixed reviews about St. John's (unless it's the Honors program) so I'm wondering if this year's graduating class was not as strong as usual. |
OLV is a fine school. But apart from St. John's, it does not regularly feed into any other school. |
| We've been at OLV for a few years now. I'm a non-Catholic married to a Catholic, and I was apprehensive our first year. While the Principal might come across as a "snob" on the walk-through, that's not the case one you know her and see how effectively she runs the school. Further, the school has diversity not only racially but economically. I went to a public school in a small town - it reminds me of my own elementary school. It is comfortable, just the right size, the parents are friendly, and there's a true sense of community. Our kids enjoy going to school and seem happy and thus, we're happy. |
| PP, is it true the instructional style is heavy on worksheets or did you see more engaging activities integrated into learning? How often is PE, Spanish, and Music? Does the school still send many graduates to Gonzaga/Visitation? |

I remember being surprised to see the size of their class in the Confirmation/graduation photos last year. Is enrollment down?
