I've bought two from Hamilton's on route 7 in Bailey's Crossroads. Though I have to admit the first one was a wee bit more comfortable than the new one! Had the last one for 13 years and it was still really comfortable at the end.

We got a $4k couch for about $1800. If you check online they have a lot of custom couches that get returned for whatever reason. I saw one I liked on the website, went in to see the floor sample at the store on 14th and then bought it online in the store. It's an awesome couch. Made in NC and looks like a million bucks.

Where online can I check this? I'm looking at their web site and just see all their regular couches for sale. I would love to get a returned custom couch!

Thanks!

Try Urban Retreat in Reston. They have great prices and really comfortable deep sofas with a selection of pillow fill types from which to choose.

Never heard of it. What is their pricing like?

Ours is from Haverty's and super comfortable. We bought a floor model during a special sale, so we got a really good price, but their regular prices aren't crazy.

Go to their website urbanretreat.com Their sofas are comparable to Crate and Barrel but much less expensive. You can't really buy off the floor though, you have to order it.

Lounge owners, a question: we tried and LOVED this sofa, but are concerned it would really only suit a family/tv room rather than a living room. It's so deep that we felt like guests would feel strange sitting on it if we had company over. Has this been your experience? TIA

Thanks -- I did check out the website but they didn't mention prices. Are there samples to try out?

Belfort is not a bad suggestion, if you're willing to make the trek to Dulles. We haven't bought anything there yet, but they do have nice stuff at reasonable prices.

I agree with your sentiment. My preference for living room is a high-and-tight sofa. Good for entertaining around a coffee table.

For the TV area, soft, cushy, double- or whole-family snuggable. Pull out sofa, even, for Family Movie On The Bed Night.

Not Bob's. Furniture is very cheaply made and in short period of time the lack of quality shows. That has been my experience.
