| OP, have you ever tried on a pair of naturalizer (sp) shoes? I find that some of their shoes are very cute (I just bought 2 at an after-Christmas sale!) and after you break them in they are oh-so-comfy too! |
14:02's Nine West shoes. They're great. Go for short pumps if you're afraid of not being comfortable. Stay away from chunky, clog like shoes. They're too hard to pull off if you're not 22, a hippie-waife, and don't live in Vermont. |
OP here, that was me that bought the Nine West shoes. I'm glad I picked a pair of stylish shoes at least. I will try to find that pair in a lower heel. |

I also would suggest Clarks. I wear them a lot. They certainly aren't the cutest shoes out there but if you are very selective, I think you can find things that are cute enough and they're extremely comfortable.
How about one of these options? http://www.clarksusa.com/eng/product/diamond_opal/62280 http://www.clarksusa.com/eng/product/charmed_bow/63070 Also, keep Clarks in mind for springtime. their spring shoes seem a little better because they move away from the chunky winter look, which is their biggest downside overall. PS - I work in the same kind of environment you do and I'm 34 and I also shop at Talbots.......what can you do? Ann Taylor isn't what it used to be! |
| The original 2 choices are absolutely hideous. They would be perfect choices to go with a witches costume, but other than that, no way! |

Hi OP - I'm the PP who asked what you like to wear. (I also walk tons and tons every day, and won't wear shoes I can't walk in.)
Here are some shoes that might work for you: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/boots/PRDOVR~24685/24685.jsp http://www.zappos.com/cole-haan-lana-short-boot-dark-chocolate http://www.zappos.com/cole-haan-air-juliana-pump-45-empire-blue (try them in black, though) http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/boots/PRDOVR~54653/54653.jsp http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/jcrewcollection/PRDOVR~13733/13733.jsp http://totokaelo.com/store/products/dieppa-restrepo/fw12/leon/natural-cork |
| Just want to throw huge props to the Cole Haan-Air line, as PP suggested. The shoes are very comfortable and they come in many varieties. I lived in a pair of ballet flats when I was pregnant--and I walk a lot, so they were worth the investment. |
| OP here, I love the cole Haan options pp suggested. I'll definitely check those out. I also like neutralizer options another poster suggested. Thanks everyone!!! |

OK update from OP.
Went to DSW and tried on a bunch of pumps and ended up getting these http://www.dsw.com/shoe/madden+girl+getta+patent+pump?prodId=dsw12prod3760002&brand=300211&activeCats=women,300211&isBrand=y&categoryName=women I got them in red too. They are surprisingly comfortable. I've been wearing them all day (although not outside) and no problems so far. |
Wow, seriously? Those look like they'd be really uncomfortable, but hey, good for you OP! Those are definitely better than the first ones you posted!! |
That's what I thought too, but then I put them on and was shocked at how comfortable they were. I'm trying to be less fuddy-duddy. Let's see how long it lasts. |

I'm another big fan pf Naturalizer. I have these three and on those days when I have to be on my feet for 12+ hours straight (I'm an event director, so I really do mean 12 hours), they all work well. Not the most fashionable, but with pants they are not that bad.
