When will skinny jeans go away? And what can I wear in the meantime?

New poster here. So what's the consensus on straight leg jeans, not skinny? I just bought a pair and they're very comfy. But do I look like a time traveler from 1995? And should I care? I'm a curvy petite and look absurd in skinny jeans. Often bootcut, even petite, are too long one me without wearing a small heel, but these straight ones are a good length on me for flats.

OP have you tried GAP's skinny boot jeans (not the cords)? They work really well on me and I am very curvy (hips and thighs). Also love GAP sexy boot.

Straight legged jeans are a good compromise on me, a hippy size 10

Will you please quit? You are getting as obnoxious as the Cakestyle lady with product promotion. That isn't even the same ass in those jeans.....reminds me of before and after diet pill pictures.

NP here. I think the issue is that person on that blog has a pancake ass. Not helpful for the OP, who -- like me -- has serious booty.

Big-bottomed girls NEED big pockets so they are in proportion to our lovely asses That mom on the blog needs some teeny little pockets to trick the eye into thinking she has an ass at all.

Um, I just saw this on Pinterest and reposted b/c I found it helpful. It's not my site. Gap looks bad on me, too.

Gap is glorious. I wear skinnies all the time: usually with converse. It makes me feel like a happy kid....

I want this style gone so bad. Skinny jeans don't flatter a lot of women not to mention yoga pants or jeggings. Men just dont, please. I don't need to see everything thank you. These pants are not comfy nor forgiving. The only thing I like is the ease of boots but I learned how to correctly fold my flares into my boots ages ago lazy people. I want my legs to breathe. These stupid skinny jeans literally spread my eczema to cover my entire legs in one 9 hour wear. How are these things not gone yet! I want a petition to stylist to move away from skinnys a little!

Sorry you're fat and have gross skin.

I'm not particularly curvy but I've never really liked skinny jeans. I think they look weird with anything but a tunic length top. I think boot cut is universally flattering, so I have two Lucky Brand pair. Since I recognize that a lot of people think they look dated, if I'm going out in the evening, I opt for straight leg jeans. I generally like 7s.
