| We always pay it off. We put most of our expenses on our cards and use the points for vacations, but we never carry a balance. |

Yes, pay off every month. It's been about 8 or so years since the last time I didn't and I can still picture in my mind the interest penalty payment on my statement and it still bothers me. Will not do that again.
But, to address the previous "sour grapes". I count myself very fortunate to be able to afford what we need/want and be able to pay this off every month without having to defer some expenses into the future. Unlike the other respondant, I don't think you have sour grapes and hope that you don't have to do this often. |
| We charge most purchases and pay our balances at the end of the month, and have for several years. We did go through a stretch way back where we had to pay less than the full balance (but more than the minimum) for a few months to cover some unexpected medical bills while we waited for our insurance to cover them. |

I've never paid a dollar in credit card interest in my lifetime.
We pay off about $4K/month. |
|
We always pay it off in its entirety. We put everything on the credit card - groceries, vacations, everything - and always pay it off.
Consumer debt is the stupidest debt there is. No way I'll ever pay a penny of interest on consumer purchases. |
+1. We pay off around $3k a month, and we don't have a high HHI. |

Yes until DH lost his job. This is the first time in 15yrs of marriage where we have carried a balance on our credit cards. Now we're $40K in debt and seriously considering dipping into the IRA to pay it off.
DH is now employed again, good salary $260K but I cannot stomach the debt. keeps me up at night. |
| Pay off every month. |
| We've always paid it off every month. The interest rate is too high not to! |
|
Nope. I do not. The card is mostly for emergencies where I don't have the cash flow. And I had a few. The balance is getting paid down, but not quickly.

| pay off every month |
Will also add that I feel absolutely zero shame about this. |
| I haven't paid off my credit card since the month we became parents many years ago. I'm still waiting for my wife to go back to work. |
| Well, we have about 25K in debt that we're slowly paying down at the rate of about $1k/month before we start retirement or down payment funds, but if we didn't have that we'd have no problem paying down what we currently spend each month. |
| We always pay everything (around $4000 total) in full. |
