| Maybe OP is hoping the cute guy from the office who she does not really have a reason to talk to is going to the party and it will determine if she wears a cute dress or old jeans. Maybe she wants to see if someone else is going to carpool with. Maybe she finds the host overalls chatty and she wants a buffer friend. Or maybe she just likes knowing. Why does it matter why she checks it? |

I'm glad for people like you. I check the invite a million times for time and address because my ,wife is a train wreck and I keep forgetting. I would hate to have the inviter think I'm stalking the guest list. |

+1 Definitely true. I had a mom who RSVPed maybe to my kid's birthday, and I could see her checking the RSVP regularly. Not sure if she was waiting for a better offer or just couldn't remember where the place was. |

When you receive the invitation, the first few lines appear in the email. You don’t have to open the invitation to get a sense of what it is. |
