You mean they don't?
Seriously, does every nation need to vet their choice of a capital city with the UN and Pres. Obama?
Hey they can put their capital city anywhere they want but we don't have to give them ginormous amounts of foreign aid. But Netanyahu expects that he should do whatever he wants and we should just pay for it.

Doesn't sound like he's any different from anyone else in the world. Maybe its just because you aren't too fond of Israel? Is that your real issue?
They're not like anyone else in the world. They get huge amounts of foreign aid from us which completely dwarfs what we give other countries, and yet they expect us to endorse everything they do.

And yes, I am a critic of Israel. Israel presents itself as a democratic country and yet systematically discriminates against its own citizens (not talking about West Bank and Gaza here - talking about Israeli citizens) based on race and ethnicity. For all our problems in this country, we don't accept racial and ethnic segregation and discrimination as normal and desirable.

FWIW, I'm also a critic of Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Russian, Cuba, China among others. And if I thought they expected us to support their efforts to start a war with Iran while giving them tons of money, I'd also be calling on them to do what they want but send the money back.

I wrote this, and I agree with you. I was being sarcastic. The Obama administration will not officially recognize Israel's capital city of Jerusalem. Instead of just having Israel's government decide where it's capital is, Mr. Nobel Peace Prize wants a consensus.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East that actually wants peace. However, that's a little difficult when your neighbors keep saying they are going to wipe you off the map.

RIGHT.....If you saw what was happening to Palestinians every day, you wouldn't say this. Unless you were completely biased on the issue.

That would be because he has the prize but no stones... shame.

I fail to see this. I have no dog in the fight, I'm just pointing out hypocrisy when i see it. I've been to the region and through the checkpoints. It's ridiculous.

Shame on him for continuing the policies of the previous two administrations regarding the official US government position on Jerusalem. You do realize that the US government had the same position under Bush, right? Did you believe he also wanted a consensus before making an official statement? Or is it only a bad thing if done by the Obama administration.

There apparently is no Sam Bacile. http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/09/muhammad-film-consultant-sam-bacile-is-not-israeli-and-not-a-real-name/262290/

What did you fall into a time machine and got stuck in the 70's? I don't see any indication that Saudi Arabia, Jordan, or Egypt wants to wipe Israel off the map, or the Emirates. Israel has been offered many chances at peace. This is now about what terms, not whether one peaceful country is surrounded.

Obama will do nothing to stop Iran . He wants the U S diminished. He wants to weaken us on every level. He likes the chaos. He is dangerous and anti American. Once you understand that, everything he does makes sense.

Looks like the Libya attack was a planed assault. Lots of stuff coming out, like heavy weapons and two assault wave. May have targeted the embasssador.
