Netanyahu is way out of line

With what's happening in Libya, Netanyahu has crossed the line. Netanyahu and his party has decide to force the issue of war with Iran and now is trying to undermine Obama during a US presidential election. I do not want to go to war with Iran for Isreal.

May be Mr. Nobel Peace Prize can convince Bibi to not go to war. But he can't cancel with David Letterman...

I totally agree that Netanyahu is a rightwing nutjob who is trying to manipulate America into starting a war that even his own military and intelligence agencies think is a bad idea-- and just for the record I am a Jew but this is one of the reasons I am very selective about what Israeli/Jewish charities I support.

Where were the Egyptian and Libyan governments in all this? Why did they not protect our embassies? Where was our security in the embassies?

This is horrific.

Libya responded right away. Egypt is a different story altogether and I'm worried. But I'm biased against Morsi to begin with. The Muslim Brotherhood (his party) is sponsoring a protest of the movie on Friday. The Egyptian MB website is condemning the killing in Libya but silent on what happened right in Egypt. Very troublesome indeed...

The Muslim tendency toward violence is horrific, and I don't want anyone to think I am defending what happened in Lybia or Egypt, but I think Terry Jones is not exercising free speech so much as deliberately fomenting violence, and deserves a major share of the blame.

You might want to rephrase that because it sort of overshadows the more important point you are trying to make.

Netanyahu even has the audacity to claim that a nation has the right to decide where their capital city is without approval from the UN or Barack Obama. He is way out of line.

You mean they don't?
Seriously, does every nation need to vet their choice of a capital city with the UN and Pres. Obama?

If the USA is pulled into a war because of Israel, any and all monies (billions) that are normally sent to Israel should be used instead to fund that war. Israel should receive nothing.

I did not mean to accuse Islam of being a violent religion. Only to say that there is an extreme element among Muslims that espouses violent response to any statement they consider blasphemous. It's precisely Jones's condemnation of the entire religion because of the actions of extremists that I was commenting on, as you were good enough to recognize.

I was trying, rather lamely, to indicate this distinction by saying Muslim rather than Islamic. Since I could not even spell Libya correctly, it was silly to think I could express that distinction by a single word choice.

I am wondering if Netanyahu had any roll in this video being translated from English. It happen fairly recently. The Isreal government has disavowed the maker of the video and the video. It seems a strange thing to do if you had nothing to do with it. I wonder who made the translation happen?

Okay now I see why they disavowed it. Why would his guy do this? I guess we are going to lose more money and people. Thanks asshole!

Sam Bacile, 56, the movie’s writer and director, has gone into hiding following the violent reaction to his film. An Israeli, Bacile lives in California and works in real estate development. While filmmaking isn’t his main source of income, he put together the inflammatory movie in an effort to expose negative attributes that he believes come from and are associated with the Islamic faith.

The self-described Israeli Jew told the Associated Press, from an undisclosed location, that Islam is a cancer and that the film was intended to make a political statement, while condemning Islam on the whole. The English-language movie spans two hours and is entitled, “Innocence of Muslims.” Bacile claims that more than 100 Jewish donors helped put up the $5 million to make the film, which has reached no measurable level of success, possible.

“This is a political movie,” Bacile told the AP. “The U.S. lost a lot of money and a lot of people in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we’re fighting with ideas.”
