Genuinely curious -- why to Republicans lie?

Haven't you heard people on the far left that claim Bush actually orchestrated 9/11?? They're the same sort of Dems as the far right R's that claim Obama is a Muslim.

Again, ignorant.

OP here. Ignorant question? Perhaps you are not familiar with the definition of "ignorant." It is a genuine question based on my observations. And while Bush was in power, there were some crazy left-wing theories and stories but I never heard them espoused in any kind of legitimate setting --such as cable news, or by high profile Democrats (sympathizers or politicians).

But I have heard things about Obama repeated by Fox news, by high profile Republicans (Donald Trump,Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin) and by otherwise seemingly intelligent people that I don't think the comparison is apt. Of course, I am not a Republican.

Are you, PP, honestly saying that you believe the level of lies and stories manufactured, disseminated and then consumed by Republicans equals those by the Democrats?

And for PPs who said they are R and don't believe this, or say these things, is your take that this is just a tiny minority of the party as well and most Republicans have sensibly dismissed this as nonsense and are focused on the issues?

Where do you hang? Seriously, I would love to see intelligent conservative discourse.

i find myself trending more libertarian, but more for lack of options. I can't stomach Repub on social issues, nor Dems on the economy. You could do worse than to read a few articles at Cato.org. good article there now abt the auto bailout.

Suggest all the indignant right wing nut review the Romney Ryan budget and then substantiate your
claim that the GOP does not favor the wealthly. It is universally accepted it is harsh and unfair to middle and lower classes
