actually, that's not a bad point. Names seem to cycle over about 3 generations. The names that were popular when we were kids have fallen out of favor, yet the names of our grandmothers are back in style. I was the PP who said my daughter's name is not even in the top 1000 names right now - it was pretty popular in the 80s. Boys names we like are very 80s, but are no longer popular. Use names from our generation and you likely will not have 5 of them in your kid's preschool or in your neighborhood. |
Collectively, that is the ugliest group of names I've ever heard. Michaela? Barf. It's almost as bad as Lark. OP - you've got a tidy little group here, and there's consensus: Lark is pretty bad. Why not Willa as PP suggests? You almost sound like the mother who wanted to name her defenseless child Journey. Both names are hugely conspicuous. Like Holden for a boy. |
| Audrey was in our short list for girls' names but had a boy. I've met a handful of babies/toddlers with that name lately. |

Lark....Flowers In The Attic. Soap opera character.
Christina...I think this is an ok classic religious name. Audrey...Fine. Not great. |
Yes, truly awful. Kai is the name of the red ninja in Lego Ninjago. Every boy in her elementary class will know that she is a master on spinjistu if you name your daughter Kai

WTF? |

I will disagree with the other PPs and say that I think Lark is a darling name. Willa sounds like the name of a fat girl with acne to me. Reminds me of Wilford. Wilford Brimley actually.

Audrey is classic and elegant, Christina is beautiful.
I don't like Lark. It's short, and harsh, and a bird. I want my daughter to have a name to aspire to, not one associated with a cute brainless creature. Willa is OK, I don't love it, but it's legitimate and not a bird. |
| Michelle is the best female name hands down. |
| I know a girl named Larkin |
+1 |
| The only one I like is Christina, but it's kinda over used. |
| I like Christina and Audrey, but absolute no to Lark. Did you make it up - I've never heard it before? |
| Lark has way too many negatives. It sounds like you decided to have a child on a lark. And once the child becomes old enough, endless teasing. |
| I don't mind Audrey or Christina, of those three. |
