I'm sorry- I was the PP who mentioned lack of sidewalks. I took this statement in the OP's post to be talking about things in walking distance- which is why I brought it up.

If you paid a lot of money for a small, old house in a walkable area, you're more likely to hop on DCUM and try to persuade others it should be of paramount importance. Hence all the "we walk everywhere with my 1-year-old, 3-year-old and Portuguese Water Dog,, get ice cream every day, see every clown at the library, and now I'm a size 4 again" posts.

ROFL!

Isn't that in Annandale?

Annandale and the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood are right next to each other. Sleepy Hollow area might be considered technically Annandale. Sleepy Hollow Preschool is about ten minutes away (driving, not walking).

Most of the Sleepy Hollow area has a Falls Church address, but the Sleepy Hollow Woods subdivision off Sleepy Hollow Road has an Annandale address. The preschool is closer to the Beltway near Annandale HS.
