Israel is not our ally

They wont because Palestinians are not their people, and because Palestinians do not want to leave.
Grow up
your argument is old and has grown stale.
You should know better by now. Stop playing victim. Try being a nice neighbor. Nobody is out to hate you, and you are living a good life

true dat, albeit jewish people cannot possibly be that big of a percentage of all senators and representatives. or campaign donators. so the question remains why exactly they are so powerful I suppose.

Yeah countries do that all the time, just give away a chunk of their territory voluntarily. Because all Arabs are basically the same people right?

Well then I guess we should all start packing and give the continental U.S. and Alaska back to the Native Americans, and Hawaii back to the Samoans.

Canada has tons of land and it has a euro-christian history, so maybe they can just give us some of their land.

Heck, if all land is just land, then get Australia to chip a chunk off for the Israelis and they can relocate. That's just one British colony doing a solid for another.

I don't understand why this country is such an avid supporter of a nation with apartheid-like policies. And a WALL built to keep people from traversing from one side to another (hello, Berlin?)

Why does asserting Israel's right to exist (which I do) mean that you have to support the farthest-right political party there (which I do not)? Why is any criticism of Israel's actions or policies considered anti-semitic?

We need to take off the rose-colored glasses.

except that the land in australia was taken from blacks
Maybe the english could be asked to give back what they stole?

I cannot believe some isrealis still think the palestinian issue could be solved by just sending the natives away.
Maybe you reap what you sow

Of course, I am pointing out the absurdity of the wingnuts idea.

HUGFINGTON POST. URGENT READ

Romney, Netanyahu, and George Washington's Warning
What does it signify, for an American like Mitt Romney, unskilled in international politics and innocent of the complexities of the Middle East, to back the pressure now being exerted by Benjamin Netanyahu against the advice of the American president and against the advice of high-ranking intelligence and military officers in Israel? It means that Romney is not friend of Israel so much as he is a friend of Netanyahu. Or rather, for Romney, as for the billionaires he had in tow on his Israel trip, the personal is political. For them, Netanyahu is Israel.

We ARE Israel's ally. But Romney's adoring, pleading puppy dog eyes adie, we are not Netanyahu's lapdog.

The US and Israel share certain values and strategic interests. There are interests and even values that we do not share (like certain of Israel's policies toward the occupied territories). As a democracy, Israel is also not monolitthic when it comes to its own policies and articulated interests. (For example the foreign policies of the last Labor government and the present government are different, and can change again.) Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush knew this. Candidate Romney still has to figure it out (or has already, but panders anyway).
