Best place for casual Mexican in DC?

I really loved Tortilla Coast at P & 15th. Thought the service was excellent and loved the atmosphere. Our food was also very good, especially liked the sangria and wonderful chocolate tamal dessert... to die for!

There's a huge difference between Mexican food and Tex-Mex. Sounds like OP was thinking Tex-Mex. I'm a Texan and I like both, but even in Texas they are distinct cuisines, with the"Mexican" restaurants generally being more upscale.
