please recommend your fertility doctor

I also have never had a problem with Dr. Sacks's support staff. The front desk people can be a little clueless, but I love his nurses. They were extrememly helpful to me during a very stressful situation.

Agree that Dr. Sacks is very caring. But we also left the practice because of dysfunction in the nursing and support staff. It went on for a long time, and my husband and I now realize we should have gone to a different practice right away. I am sad to make this posting, because Dr. Sacks really is a good doctor. It's too bad, because DC proper needs a viable, smaller alternative to SG. That's why we chose CFA in the first place.

Dr. Sacks is responsible for my 20 month old DS and current 12 week pregnancy. I never had issues with the staff or billing and love his nurses (current and former). Dr. Sacks is the nicest man and I always felt that he had my best interests at heart. I strongly recommend him and CFA.

Dr. Sharara fan here. He diagnosed my IF right off the bat (blocked fallopian tubes) and was incredibly smart about the strategy we pursued to get me pregnant and keep me pregnant. We never had a weight discussion so I can't speak to that but he is incredibly well educated about IF and I am confident in everything he prescribes is to help us achieve our goals for pregnancy.

As others have said, it's a small office - just him - so you see him every time. His nurses Jo and Debbie are the sweetest women. I am just starting IVF again after a successful delivery a year ago and it felt like seeing family going back there this time.

VCRMed.com is his site.

what did u like about him? I made an appt. Did you get pregnant with him (that sounds so weird).

I second Dr. Levens. He is not my doctor at Shady Grove but he did do my egg retrieval. I posted the same on another thread - very informative and very thorough. Spends time with you and actually explains things. Very personable as well. If I had to go to someone else at SG, it would be Levens for sure (or Dr. Bromer).
