S/O What time do you eat dinner?

Between 8:30-9:30pm mainly because I don't get home til after 7ish. But, this week we've been trying to eat a little earlier and with DS (instead of me feeding him first). Wish us luck!

During the week, we just cannot eat together. I get off work at 6 pm and pick 4.5yo DD up at daycare at 6:15 pm. She eats a p.b. sandwich & apple or carrot sticks, and drinks milk or water from a thermos as I drive home. We arrive home around 6:45 or 7. She goes up to go to the bathroom, change into pjs while I feed the maniacal pets and sort the mail. Then I got up and help her brush teeth and we read books; then she goes to sleep. By now, it is about 7:30-7:45. I go downstairs and do the rest of the post-work organizing/cleaning, and feed myself something from the fridge, usually some type of leftovers. DH arrives home around 8 pm and eats something from the fridge also, usually leftovers. This is our ccrazy life, Mon-Fri!

I feed kids at 5:30. DH and I eat after kids go to bed around 8-8:30.

7:15 - 7:45ish. We don't get home from work/daycare pick up until 6:45 and the kids (under 3) have a fairly late bedtime. It works for us.

I'm amazed your child will willingly eat a peanut butter sandwich 5 nights a week.

Am home before H. so I start cooking dinner about 5, kids eat between 5:30 -- 6. Put dinner for H. in oven, keep it warm til he gets home. He eats while kids are eating dessert or doing homework at the kitchen table.

7:00 ish. Later on soccer practice night. Always with the family.

We eat between 5 and 5:30. We always eat as a family, DH goes in early and gets home early. If there is soccer, we need to be done by 5:45 ish to get food settled and to practice on time. My 6 and 7 yr old are in bed at 7 so we need to be done dinner pretty early to give them time to play/do homework/hang with dad before bed.

Your daughter eats PB sandwiches every weeknight as her supper, in the car! WTH!

Between 7 and 11. Almost always freshly prepared. No processed foods. Newborn, so that will probably change the time table.

around 5:30-6:00. My kids and I get home around 4:45, and they are usually starving. If I feed them a snack, they won't eat dinner later, so I usually give them cut up veggies and hummus while I get dinner ready and feed them around 5:30 or a little later. DH gets home at 6:15, so he and I usually eat together then while the kids play. Then it's in the bath at 6:45, watching Curious George from7-7:30, brushing teeth and reading stories from 7:30-8, and then nighty night for the kiddos!

We pretty much have the same arrangement. I get home arond 5, start on dinner and then DH eat his when he gets home. Sometimes I just cover a plate with foil and he can nuke it if he wants when he gets home. We're usually already playing out in the street when he rolls in. Luckily homework for us does not start until next year!
