If you buy Nutella

Nutella makes any kind of bread taste like a donut. Nothing that tasty could be so good for you. Heck, my kids ask for chocolate sandwiches when they want nutella. Even they can't be fooled into thinking it's anything other than candy.

Mmmmmmm.
Loved Nutella since first bite in W Germany in the 80's.

Filing my claim and spending my $20 on more Nutella. I can get 4 huge jars at costco for that much!

That's an awesome idea. I will bake some bread to go with it.

Can I still file a claim even if I bought Nutella knowing it wasn't healthy? And basically I use it to trick my ds into eating whole grain bread that otherwise tastes like saw dust?

Most class actions suits are bunk!

so, i won't offer the "brown stuff" for our sunday waffles and will stop eating nutella and peanut butter on the same spoon (so tasty, by the way).

anyway, not everyone remembers to read the labels and think super hard about their food. not really justifying it, but i think it's fair to acknowledge that some reasonably smart folks could have let laziness reign the day and have some right to be annoyed now that the advertising was misleading.

You are everything that is wrong with this country. The fact that borderline retards like you can be phi beta kappa and top ten law school permanently puts to rest any idea that this country may be a meritocracy.

I smear it on banana's. Delish!

There is a version from TJ, with almond I think...not sure about the other ingredients and not interested either. I know it is *bad* but I love it and will eat it once in a while. I actually don't buy it, because if it is here, we can eat a whole jar in one sitting. It is that good! Nutella with banana...hummmmmm

So, they do have huge jars at Costco? I have a relative in another country who loves Nutella and I know he brought a huge jar from his last trip to France - probably it is gone by now. Maybe I will bring him one huge jar when I go to visit.... How big is it pp?

There's more than one way to skin a cat, and more than one way to get misleading ads off the airwaves. I'm all for a fine. But a class action suit is ludicrous. I bet many claimants didn't even see the ad.

I love the idea of filing claims and buy more Nutella!

You might be smart but you have no common sense. Ha!

Just be aware that the TSA views Nutella as a liquid, at least sometimes.

They actually show a mom feeding her kids a breakfast of nutella on wheat bread, cereal, and a banana and say something like "part of your nutritious breakfast". They also say that it's made from nuts with a hint of cocoa. Yeah right. They should have gotten sued - that's really manipulative advertising.

They say the same thing about Lucky Charms. That doesn't mean adding marshmallows to your cereal is healthy. At some point, the consumer needs to take the responsibility for what they're consuming.

Yes, but even so we do not need to roll over and let companies make outright lies about their product. Why should they not be sued?

There is a misperception that the suit was filed by someone who was harmed after a lifetime of eating Nutella in ignorance. This is not true. She sued because the company lied about their product, in order to get them to stop doing it. The small financial compensation is not payment for a lifetime of health problems. It is a fine that is being distributed to the consumers instead of being pocketed by the regulators who should have fined the Nutella manufacturer but didn't.

The bottom line here is that the regulators are letting crap ads go on the air and this person took a stand to stop it out of principle. Good job.
