S/O What food did you love as a child that makes you sick today?

Milkshakes from Islays or Howard Johnson. These days lactose intolerance is just too high for milk and ice cream. Can only do smoothies if I control all the ingredients at home.

Totino's Frozen Pizza - Friday night treat
Hot dogs - at all times and in my spaghetti. I see them now and think of the pig entrails in there and it makes me stay away
Cheese in a can - hard some a few years ago, its very salty
Miracle Whip on everything, including spaghetti.
Fried bologna sandwiches

Keebler fudge stripe cookies, velveeta cheese-like substance, cheese in a can, spaghettios, canned ravioli. I never thought of my family as white trash, but reading that list makes me wonder.

I also ate mayonnaise sandwiches. Revolting. I used to love Cheez-n-Crackers, where you got a small amount of processed cheese to put on the crackers. I tried this a few years ago and it was gross. I also loved "Deviled Ham," which came in a small can. I have no idea what it is and I don't want to know. Also Hostess pies and honey buns, and the eclairs from 7-11. Although I suspect I'd still like those Hostess pies.

And +1 for Chef Boyardee anything. I always thought Spagettios were disgusting.

I call BS on people claiming that white bread makes them sick today. You may not eat it, but it's clearly delicious. I suppose I can see the argument for wonder bread, but if toasted, how could it be offensive except for the carbs.

I still love Cool Whip.

Deviled Ham on crackers. It looked like cat food, but I still liked it!
I also remember eating red hot dogs. Both of these things were always at my grandparents' house.

Not a PP who mentioned white bread but I have a confession: I buy whole wheat multigrain bread each week... AND a loaf of Wonder Bread. I'm sorry, it's delicious. There's no better bread for a grilled cheese sandwich, or cinnamon toast.

Me too! My mom would make us deviled ham, scrambled egg and mayo sandwiches which grandma had made for her, etc... It was comfort food. Naturally, I wanted to pass the tradition on to my kids, so I picked up a can. I can't believe we ate cat food. It's disgusting.
