Yes, but you're gross and tainted after that. And that goes for men too. That's not worth any amount of money. And don't get me wrong, I like watching the occasional nicely made porn scene with pretty people in it. What I'm talking about is the nasty "Seymore Butts" type of shit that is degrading to both genders. |
Another man's trash is another man's wife |
| When I modeled I would get paid up to $5000 per gig. |

I don't make crazy money, but I do ok in terms of the effort to pay ratio, about 150ish a year with minimal effort. I have no dependents of any sort, so I manage ok.
I know that's kind of chump change, but I get up around 1 or 2pm, then show up around 3 or so, in a place where I'm supposed to be at work at 9am. That is worth a lot to me in itself. `They' don't like it, but they've been putting up with it for many years, so who cares. Once I get there I check my email, read the news, go to the bathroom a few times, and when I'm done I go have a few beers. Once in a while I will actually do something useful, but not that often. On the downside, I'll never be rich, so I don't recommend it. It's a path for the unambitious. |

Do you work for the government? Know several people who do what you do for a little less than what you make but it's not bad considering they were near the bottom of their class and don't do much but chit-chat and fool around most of the time. But they have to punch the invisible clock to pretend like they actually work. So you're doing much better than they are. |

Sales. Seriously good money, I was making $100,000 by the age of 28 with a psych degree. Never worked even 40 hours but it's a tough job mentally.
Very flexible schedule and worked form home a lot of days. Had time to do grocery store or shopping trips whenever I wanted (which is why I wasn't making more) |
| Sorry pp here, posted too soon. If I had stayed with the job I would be making over $150,000. Some friends from the job make over $300,000 |
really? Actors have to be up at the crack of dawn and yes they do spend long long hours on set. Pro Athletes? do you know how much these people work out? |
What were you actually doing on the job? |
| I was selling hospital equipment |
| To the in house lawyer, poster 22:22, where do you work? Are there other positions at your company with similar situations? Signed, an envious (funny, my autocorrect tried to change "envious" to "anxious", which is apt) firm attorney |
| I know several examples of moderate versions of your question -- good money and good hours and minimal to no travel -- people who work about 9-6 (which I consider family friendly hours) and make in the 300k's. They are all VPs or SVPs at places like Discovery, Capital One, defense contractor firms. When I made that kind of money working at a law firm, I worked crazy hours and was losing hair to stress ... Not worth it. |
| I know a law parter at a big firm who practices in an extremely specialized nonlitigation niche. He seems to spend a lot of time golfing and leaves at 6 most nights. |
| Not a common job in DC, but it seems like traders work intense hours but leave by 5pm and can make crazy money. |
