If Newt is the nominee, it will only show that this Christian right are the hypocrites that only Judas could relate and understand. |
How is he elitist? Last time I checked, he wasn't the candidate who thinks $375K in speaking fees is "not very much money" or maintains a $500K line of credit at Tiffany's.... |
Agree with PP. Really, who are the elitist candidates? ....
Oh please please let Gingrich be the repulbican nominee . . . . Do the Rs out there really debate that he is a supreme assh?$# |
If Gingrich gets elected I predict that the first thing he'll do is seek to remove term limits for the president, and when that fails he will seek to be nominated as emperor of the United States.
Once he's emperor he'll launch a war to annex Canada and Mexico to add to his territory. |
I am starting to like him
The media criticism has not been fair. Why should I care what a candidates ex wife thinks of him? |
Media criticism? Do you think this is all a media creation? I thought conservatives were for personal responsibility. This guy ditched his first wife when she had cancer. We now know he ditched his second wife after she was diagnosed with MS. During that time he was in charge of the House, leading the attack on Clinton for Monica Lewinsky a white house staffer 27 years his junior) while Gingrich himself was screwing his future third wife, who was in fact a house staffer 23 years younger. AND despite the surreal parallels between these personal failures, Gingrich sees no hypocrisy in this! THAT is the issue, the fact that he sees no conflict between what he preaches and his personal behavior. So because he talks routinely about the sanctity of marriage, yes it is entirely relevant that he proposed and open marriage arrangement. This isn't just a bad marriage leading to an affair which leads to divorce. This is him actually proposing open marriage. AND NOW he's not apologizing for it, he's openly denying it. Which is exactly what he did when he was accused of taking 1.5M in lobbyist money from Fannie and Freddie. Exactly how he has rationalized his ethics fines as non-fines. Either he is unable to examine himself, or he is unashamed to say anything, however crazy, that works to his political advantage. Either is not a suitable trait for a President. |
I hope Newt gets the nomination. He can't possibly win over Obama, right?? If he can, we are so fucked. |
Newt said he wants the death penalty for pot dealers. Though, he did smoke pot when he was young. |
Which means he BOUGHT pot. He didn't SELL pot. That's totally different.
My theory on the open marriage thing: Since he was having an affair while leading the charge against Clinton, he figured if he got his wife's permission, it could never be used against him politically. Because He Didn't Lie. Substitute an ax and a cherry tree and Newt is really the George Washington of our time. |
I am not naive. Nobody lives a perfect life. Conservative politicians are all hypocrites I do not care about a candidates personal life. I want to know if they can do the job. You care, I do not |
I totally agree. Newt is exactly the man America needs now. GOP primary voters...*cough* I mean, "WE" should nominate him. Please, please, please! |
How did he get this way. He should be a man of the people, coming from a welfare background who was just average at best. |
"Nobody can live a perfect life"? Yeah, we are criticizing him because he is not quite perfect. But it is ironic that you support a candidate who talks day and night about personal responsibility, and then you can say that personal lives are irrelevant. |
So he's happy to give money to people he thinks should be executed. |
personal life is personal all politicians talk about personal responsibilities. And I do not support him. I still like Obama more than Romney and Newt, but Newt more than Romney |
